Craft workshops + Studio visits

During this retreat, we will spend two days creating baskets with traditional palm artist and teacher Pep Toni Ferrer in the garden terraces of our beautiful home, Son Rullan, overlooking the Mediterranean sea.

We’ll also visit the studios of designers Accidente con Flores and GAADART.

Curated Dining experiences

As an island known for its agriculture, fresh Mediterranean ingredients abound. Our meals will emphasize seasonal, local ingredients from small-scale farmers.

Enjoy dining experiences at Hotel Corazon and Nama Restaurant, as well as exquisite meals by local chefs in our garden dining setting at Son Rullan.

Our Retreat Home

During this trip we’ll be staying at Son Rullan, a 14th century monastery, set amongst ancient olive groves, located between the towns of Deia and Valldemossa. The home is very rural, with a rustic access road isolating the home in the natural setting.

Inside, each room is different and hallways twist and turn giving it a whimsical feeling. Bedroom windows open up to private terraces, the gardens, or views of the surrounding orchards and Mediterranean Sea. The top floor of the home has a large yoga room and small library nook available to all.

Optional xtant community gathering

We’ve conveniently scheduled this trip just after the renowned global textile gathering Xtant, taking place in Palma de Mallorca May 8-12.

For guests that arrive before our retreat dates, we’ll schedule an optional gathering during the Xtant event to meet with select international artisan friends and collaborators.
