Photo Journal: Beklina in Mallorca
During our inaugural trip to Mallorca, we reached out to the creatives behind artist-forward California-based brand Beklina.
We’re long time fans of Beklina, and we were thrilled at the opportunity to take some of their pieces to Mallorca with us – to adorn ourselves on the rocky Mediterranean shores, and spread the word about their creations to our community.
We especially love Beklina pieces for their fun colors, shapes and textures. For over a decade, the brand has worked to create small collections of statement pieces, that help creatives express themselves through clothing. They work with quality materials, with the intention to create pieces that endure. While we support this ethos all the time, it felt particularly resonant for our Mallorca trip, a place where we’d be staying in centuries old stone buildings, learning about the age-old traditions of the region.
Our inaugural Mallorca trip was hosted by Thread Caravan founder Caitlin Garcia-Ahern, and Donde Clara founder Clara Polanco. They hosted guests in a 14th century monastery converted to guest house, Son Rullan, and spent days visiting artist studios like Accidente Con Flores and Gaadart and swimming in the Mediterranean Sea.
We took along a selection of Beklina pieces that are great for summer travel:
This floral Sleep Mask
Their much-loved Gubi Sandals
Their wide brim Sun Cap
The Oversized Scrunchie in fun gingham print
The Angata cotton sweater, knit in Peru
